On May 25, 2015, the SBC undergraduate programs seminar, organized by SBC Dual-degree Registry Office was successfully held in the conference room of the USST Public Service Centre. Professors Shen Jingfeng, Wu Fengyu and Ying Jie, three Program Managers of USST, were invited to attend the seminar. Professor Liu Qin, Vice Dean of SBC, hosted the seminar.
In the seminar, every program manager made presentations to illustrate and explain specialties of each program based on the standard of UK Quality Assurance. They then provided suggestions for draft proposals about the combination of SBC Study Guidance and plans for cultivating talent in the class of 2015.
In the concluding remarks, Prof Liu Qin summarized how Sino-foreign Cooperation in Running Schools plays a leading role in internationalization of Chinese higher education. She also pointed out that as one of featured Sino-foreign cooperatively running institutions of USST, SBC needs to build its student cultivation plan based on requirements of Sino-foreign cooperation in running schools, and focus on fostering students’ independent learning and problem solving abilities for the purpose of cultivating international talent.
