On the afternoon of March 5, a group of SBC Chinese and International Students volunteered for the Free Hugs activity at South Shaanxi Road metro station in order to thank people who take public transportation and show their support for environmental protection.
Despite the rain and cold, the volunteers’ passion and hugs warmed many passing city residents. Many people also asked for group photos with the volunteers to cherish the beautiful moment.
The event lasted about an hour-and-a-half. All the volunteers expressed their happiness at being able to make their contribution to environmental protection. They also mentioned that this was a good opportunity for Chinese students and international students to work together and improve their cross-cultural awareness.
