On 26th May, a group of Chinese and international students from SBC volunteered at Dulwich College Founder’s Day, a fun-filled British-themed event for students and their families in honour of the school’s founders.
Dulwich College Shanghai is an independent British International School and a partner of the prestigious Dulwich College in London, founded in 1619.
The event was held on the rugby field at Dulwich College with food, games and entertainment including music and dance shows. Over 30 SBC students worked at the event as volunteers and were responsible for receiving guests, checking tickets, venue logistics and assisting in the entertainment tents.
About 2000 children and their families attended the event and it was a big challenge for the organiser and volunteers to ensure the smooth running of all activities. It also was a great opportunity for students to be involved in a big international event and gain invaluable work experience.
Tina, CEO of Asia Media and organiser of the event thanked the volunteers for their help. She was impressed by the enthusiasm of the students and spoke of their great teamwork spirit and willingness to learn new skills.
