On Tuesday 8th May 2012, a live video link-up between students from SBC and representatives from Sheffield Hallam University (SHU) was held in library room 105. It was a great opportunity for SBC students to pose questions directly to the SHU representatives.
Rhian, International officer of the Department of International Development at SHU gave an introduction to the city of Sheffield and an overview of the university itself. SHU course leaders provided information on the Hospitality Business Management course. They also answered questions from students at SBC who attended the video conference in Shanghai.
Colin Wanmer, Director of the School of Business and Management and Heather Nicholls, Head of the Division of Business Management at SBC shared news with SHU colleagues concerning the progress of teaching activities at SBC.
Andy Richie, Assistant Director of the School of Business and Management and Ben Griffiths, Year One Economics teacher at SBC had a discussion with SHU representatives about ways to work together in the future and different teaching methods.
Rico, Recruitment Manager at SHU, said that he and his colleagues were very pleased to take part in this live link-up. They thought it was a great opportunity to encourage students and staff at SBC to learn more about SHU.
