On the evening of 6 January, SBC held a Scholarship Awards Ceremony to celebrate all the outstanding achievement made by its students in the previous academic year. Over 400 staff and students, together with the SBC senior management team attended the ceremony and shared the joy of students' success in both academic study and social contribution.

Four categories of scholarships were awarded to 300 excellent students at the event, including Academic Scholarship, Social Contribution Scholarship, Best Business Practice Scholarship, and most of all, Principal's Scholarship.

This is the first time for SBC to have offered the Principal's Scholarship. With an amount of 1/3 fee deduction for the following year, the Principal's Scholarship is given to the top student in each grade as recognition at the highest level for their all-round personal development. This year, there were nine candidates for this top award, and after individual presentations scored by a panel of judges, two students won the final awards: Wang Yun (Year 3, Events Management) and Zhao Yuqing (Year 2, Accounting and Finance).

Principal Gow said: "It is truly a pleasure for me tonight to hear top students talk about themselves and their future. As are all of our academic and administrative team, I am very proud of the things that our students have achieved this year, not only academically but socially – a lot of the charity work, the helping of the underprivileged children, the entrepreneurial activities, and the great job our students have done at Expo, etc."

SBC has witnessed a great improvement in the academic performance and overall quality of the students during the last two years. As Principal Gow said in his speech, SBC aims to produce excellent ambassadors for the college and their country, who are not only good academically, but more importantly have a strong sense of social responsibility and can contribute to the development of their country and the world as a whole.

Congratulations to all the awards winners!
